Always ready, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week….

Aquatic Engineering were approached over the Bank Holiday to supply an emergency Silt Curtain to Turkmenistan for deployment in The Caspian Sea around a Desalination Plant.

As can be seen in the image above, major civil engineering work is being undertaken about 100m further up the beach which is creating suspended solids in the water column that are being drawn into the pumping station and creating issues.

Our very own Glyn proposed and drew up a Silt Curtain Solution over the Bank Holiday incorporating our unique Aquatic Barrier System for the Satınalma Departmanı, İLK İNŞAAT TAAH. SAN. ve TIC. A.Ş.

ILK Construction Contracting Industry & Trade LTD of Istanbul Turkey were ranked 107th by Engineering News Magazine Top International Contractors of The World listing of 2015.

Caroline Devereux, Managing Director of Aquatic Engineering said “It is a pleasure and honour to be working in Turkmenistan again this year, this is now our third project, we are progressively building up a very good working relationship with Turkish civil engineering companies and we always feel confident dealing with them on such high profile international projects.”

The 350m long bespoke Silt Curtain is in the process of being fabricated in our Isle of Wight factory and will be shipped this week by road haulage.
